It is a large pigeon. Its weight can reach 0.5 kg, with a wingspan of about 75 cm. It is quite easy to photograph. Although it keeps a certain distance from a human, it feeds on the ground and has quite a large size, which makes it a good object to photograph, especially that more and more often it can be found in urban areas, in parks and gardens.

We managed to take a few pictures of the Common Wood Pigeon, although I did not plan it. These photos, however, are much better than the pictures presented previously. Near the hide in the Bieszczady mouintains, during the absence of wolves and bears, I managed to successfully take some dynamic photos of common wood pigeons, which were flying in flocks in the company of stock doves. I focused on stock doves, admittedly, as this is a more difficult species, but I managed to take some better pictures of the common wood pigeon as well. Especially those dynamic ones make me glad, as they introduce some variety to the former, more static gallery of the pigeon.

For two weeks, the the Wood pigeons settled down adjacent larch. They precisely collected all the sticks from the area to build a nest. Some interesting photos I was taken and the sounds of birds were recorded. The gallery has been rebuilt and changed its status to very good.
