Birds > Passerine > Eastern Subalpine Warbler Curruca iberiae

info

The first pictures of the subalpine warbler were taken in Spain. Unfortunately it was September and it was not possible to photograph a male in their mating colors. But the gallery must be created as a reminder of our first meeting, and it is also a species belonging to the fauna of Poland. Now I have to  develop it and complete with photos of the birds in breeding colors.

At last, a photo of a male in its nuptial plumage gets into the subalpine warbler gallery. Regretfully, I didn’t manage to take many pictures of the subalpine warbler. They were very shy and always hid in bushes, showing only for a while. The situation was completely different with dartford warblers, which were practically photographed in close-up. They were much less skittish, and as a result of that the gallery of the dartford warbler is more interesting, more complete, although it was my first encounter with this species.

There has been a subdivision of the Subalpine Warbler species, into two species : Western Subalpine Warbler and Eastern Subalpine Warbler. The name of the gallery has been updated, in line with the current division, and is Western Subalpine Warbler.
