The best photos of the arctic fox were taken while photographing in a colony of little auks. The fox approached so closely that it did not fit into the frame. I think it was very surprised by our presence on the rocky slope. Later, we saw the fox several times. Interestingly, not far from the places where people used to live foxes were not easily startled, while we also observed this animal on an uninhabited island and there it run away swiftly. Apparently, this fox species holds a fertility record among mammals when it comes to the birth rate. The fox can give birth up to a dozen or so youngsters. Of course, as a rule, it is not possible to raise more than half of the litter.
