When shooting pictures the Red-breasted Goose I was lucky to take the first images of the Tundra Swan. At first looked very similar to the Whooper Swan. It is just smaller, because its weight does not exceed 8 kilograms and the wingspan is 190 centimeters. It is the smallest swan found in Europe. In Poland, is has been seen only when migrating. Size being one difference, although hard to perceive when the two birds are not placed against each other, the most important difference between the Whooper swan and the Tundra Swan is a smaller yellow spot on the beak of the latter.
