This representative passerine cannot be confused with any other species, the white ring around its eye is so characteristic for this bird. I took its photos in the Blue Mountains in Australia and in New Zealand. It also inhabits Oceania. In Australia it can be found in the east and in the south. My experience in contacting with this species shows that it occurs in small flocks while feeding in the bushes. It feeds on fruit, seeds and insects.
