info

To take pictures of the velvet scoter  I had to go for a winter cruise on the Baltic Sea.  8 –hours  spent on a ship may be sufficient for bird watchers, but it was not proved to be sufficient for taking good pictures. Frankly speaking the weather was fine, the morning waving of the sea decreased from hour to hour. Unfortunately, almost for the whole day, with short breaks , fog accompanied us. This is how another bird gallery was created. One of a new species belonging to the Polish fauna but with a very modest content. For me, after all, there is a reason for satisfaction, because velvet scoters  are not commonly found birds and it is difficult to photograph them. They are regularly wintering on the Polish coast but often stay away from the shore. While we were on the cruise we could not complain about the lack of birds. Sometimes within the frame one could take several dozen individuals, but in a form of black dots. Well, velvet scoters were very skittish and always kept a considerable, safe distance. However, the gallery should have been set, to have the basis that will be improved, although arranging a next opportunity to watch these birds probably will not be easy ...
