Well, I have already had opportunities to photograph birds in various places and strange circumstances, but having been protected by a security guard equipped with a kalashnikov - not so far. But everything has to happen for the first time. This situation took place in Tanzania. We came to the campsite, which this time turned out to be a small lawn located among trees at an altitude of about 2,600 meters. Well, except for grass and beautiful greenery there was no tourist infrastructure. But to have an interesting portfolio  from Africa one have to visit different places and sometimes endure inconveniences. Apart from such attractions as a bodyguard who was supposed to guard us against the buffalos, there were birds everywhere of course. Anyway, we did not see any buffalo there, and at such height, with steep slopes it was doubtful whether they could be found there in the area. Oh, maybe our guard had quite different objective accompanying us. But it did not bother us. The birds were what was important to us, and that there were other species than those encountered earlier. While watching patiently for several hours among bushes, near the inflorescence one could see sunbirds, cape robin-chats, mountain greenbuls, cinnamon bracken-warblers, streaky seedeaters, mountain thrushes, broad-ringed white-eyes, brown-backed woodpeckers and Ethiopian boubous emerging every so often. Interestingly, the birds were less cautious over time and approached closer and closer. You can hear also a recording of several voices of birds from this place. This description is common, assigned to all species mentioned in the text.
