Well, not once have I thought of the Spotted Crake and the Little Crake. I have had many attempts . Unfortunately , it is not as common as the Water Rail  and as for me, it is difficult to photograph. This time, an hour before dawn, on the wet meadow where I thought I'd see Ruffs, the Common Redshank, the Wood Sandpiper and who knows what else would have appeared in front of the lens. Unfortunately, the birds kept a large distance and to make matters worse the weather was bad . An hour after sunrise the light began to drizzle. The Spotted Crake honored me with his presence for literally a just few seconds and it was probably only because they joined seven Wood Sandpipers consuming their meal nearby. My gallery, initiated with several documentary photographs, shows their activity and cooperation. The Spotted Crake belongs to the family cranes. Her body weight does not exceed 150 grams and a wingspan is about 40 centimeters.

It was an amazing week for changes in the galleries on my website. Not only two new bird galleries were created, but also two galleries radically changed their previous, documentary character. The two new species are the European turtle dove and the stock dove, unfortunately with documentary, so far, contents. Galleries of radical changes are: the common rosefinch  and the spotted crake. The only picture in my gallery, documentary and heavily cropped photo of the spotted crake was replaced by a full-sized gallery. A spotted crake safely preyed and it did not make any sounds. So unfortunately I was not able to record its voice. And as it often happens, all thanks to the help of another lover of nature, without whom I would not take these pictures, Jacek – my best regards and thank you for the invitation. Initially we were planning to photograph the common rosefinch, but after we received information from other friendly nature lovers about  the opportunity to meet a spotted crake, there was nothing else to do but go and see a spotted crake. A few hours after sunrise I had a complete set of pictures for the gallery which shows the beauty of this amazing rail. Lucky me, two weeks ago a very rare Baillon's crake came to my photo website, now we have significant changes within the gallery of the spotted crake and the water rail. To have a complete collection of rails found in Poland  only the Little Crake is missing. I hope this will happen the next year...
