This commentary is a follow-up to the text about the Red-throated Loon of which I took more pictures than of the Red-throated Loon. It is a pity, because I like the couple of this species I came across a lot more than the Red-throated Loon. They are really beautiful and perfectly set in the context of the Scandinavian landscape. Unfortunately, the lake around which I was taking photos belonged to the mid-sized, if not to the large ones. The birds were swimming away and away and their contours were becoming less and less sharp until photographing them was pointless. The photos presented here are framed. However, it would be difficult to take such photos in Poland while approaching the lake. The Black-throated Loon is a little heavier than the Red-throated Loon. Apart from this, these birds are pretty similar. Only when you approach them more closely can you identify exactly which species you are actually taking photos of. I hope that this introductory gallery is soon enriched with photos of greater number and higher quality.
