There were not many of them and not many opportunities to capture them on Antarctica. I could take several pictures but in a rather bad light. While our ship sailed between the lumps of ice, every now and then I could see flying terns, but could not see their colonies. The Antarctic tern in size and behavior is very similar to the Arctic tern.
