A few photos of the New Zealand Bellbird have created a gallery on my website and made the bellbird family at tomkalfoto.pl bigger. This, however, doesn’t seem to be the most important thing when I look at the pictures of this bird. When I was photographing in New Zealand I wanted to observe and capture as many endemic species as possible. The New Zealand Bellbird is exactly one of these species which are endemic to New Zealand. These bellbirds reach up to about 20 centimeters in length and about 30 grams in weight. They feed on nectar, fruit and insects, which are a more important position on the menu for them during the chick rearing time.
