info

For the first time insect species is described in my gallery. There is a reason to do it. Unique species requires special treatment. The monarch is a species of butterfly that migrates similarly to birds. Its migrations are thousands of kilometers. It is amazing that the whole travel cycle of the butterfly is really several insect generations. None of them is able to fly the entire distance. They can fly over the ocean. In the Canary Islands and in Europe they occur naturally. However, the population that is the biggest and migrates as it was described here, covers the North America. It is interesting that the overwintering generation lives a few months and others only a few weeks. Their wingspan does not exceed 10 cm..
