How much more difficult it is to photograph trogones in Asia compared to Argentina and Costa Rica. It was not easy there but when we finally found them we were able to take photos. I remember our attempts to find trogones in Thailand. We were looking for them in a mountainous area, along paths between the buildings of the Buddhist monks' monastery. A dark, thick forest grew around. There was such a silence in the monastery that we did not speak to each other and made no noise. Even opening the backpack with the zipper had to be made very slowly because it would be too loud. Probably there was a trogon there, but I did not see it. The bird was hidden in such a dark thicket, so far away that there was no way to take the picture. In Sri Lanka we went to a dense, humid forest. In the forest there was complete silence and desert wasteland in terms of birds. Whereas numerous leeches accompanied us. Some totally silent and concentrated photographers with a guide went down the path and searched for the trogons. It took a few hours of waiting and Sri Lankan trogon male and female could be seen for a moment. Yet it was needed to be lucky so that there were no obstacles between the lens and the bird, and quickly set the lens and take the picture. As it can be seen in the gallery, I managed to take two photos throughout the whole afternoon, but how important to me. Finally, I am setting the gallery of the first Asian trogon, the only one occurring in Sri Lanka.
