There are living 5 species of dippers in the world. The dipper has to be made of many of my favorite bird species and when leaving them for Ecuador it was on my iron list of species to photograph. I always admire how they move and dive for food. It was not possible to photograph the American dipper in Costa Rica. We tried mountain rivers several times, but nothing came of it until the last day. On this day, an hour before sunset-it is! Appeared dipper!. We thought it was a bird and the shots keep getting better.

White-crowned Penduline-Tit
Passerine
There were several photographs of the white-crowned penduline tit taken, during a photography session with the azure tit. I also managed to record the sound of this bird. Unfortunately the white-crowned penduline tit would produce sounds rarely and it was not as loud as the azure tit. It was very secretive and did not allow us to take more pictures of it.
