I was luckier in the case of green-barred woodpecker. Although it never posed for photos, but walking through the park in Buenos Aires I was able to take some interesting shots following it slowly. This woodpecker weight does not exceed 180 grams and the wingspan is less than 50 centimeters.

Although I managed to capture many species of hummingbirds, you can find there one description of all 22 species photographed in Costa Rica together. This time my expedition took longer and the light was better, I had therefore an opportunity to take many dynamic pictures. It is interesting that driving around Costa Rica after traveling several kilometers there were species of hummingbirds completely different from those we could observe earlier.

Hummingbirds-text common to species photographed in Ecuador

It occurs in Central America, northern part of South America, in Argentina and Brazil. Inhabits tropical forests near streams. It feeds on insects, small fruits and seeds. Their body is about 13 centimeters long, weight is about 13 grams. Only females are involved in building nests.
