We had to spend a few hours to take the pictures presented here. Although there was no need to chase the birds in the woods but in the bushes, where shooting them took me the longest, it was hard to keep up with them as they were very dynamic. A few hours seems to be a lot in terms of Australia where I could get used to shooting almost every moment some new species. It is no problem to become accustomed to easier shooting conditions. In Poland it happened many times that the "trip" ended up with blank card.

A beautiful, medium sized bird. I encountered a surucua trogon a few times. Unfortunately, it was quite skittish, like most birds around Iguazu, so I had to focus and take pictures quickly, because it could have gone any minute. It occurs only in South America on the small area, just in the vicinity of the Iguazu Falls and then to the north and east as far as the Atlantic Ocean. The trogon weighs about 70 grams, with a wingspan of up to 60 centimeters.

Being in Iguazú, even if you are not particularly interested in bird beauties, you should visit a place, which is unique on a global scale. Every taxi driver knows this place in  Iguazú and for a few dollars will take you to an amazing hummingbird garden. An admission ticket costs really little. The place itself is very plain. For many years, on a small area of a backgarden, its owner has been hanging water fountains for hummingbirds around.
