During few days trip to Hungary we could use some of the hides prepared by organizers to photograph birds. Each of these hides is dedicated to different group of birds. One of them was situated in quite big, wet area. It was the beginning of May, so the period of migration of charadriiformes. On the first day of our visit we could observe large flocks of birds. Unfortunately birds were always far away, but luckily one of them, while feeding, came to my lens - it was a Temminck's Stint - new species for me.

The common chaffinch is a quite grateful object for shooting, especially beautiful males. Although it is a very common bird in Poland, I managed to take a good photograph only when I was hidden in the tent – look-out. The common chaffinch is very cautious and tiny, so only photographing from 6-7 meters gives satisfactory results. It can be compared to the size of a sparrow. Its weight is slightly smaller than the weight of a sparrow, and it has a wingspan of less than 30 centimeters.

It appeared for a short while by a drinker while we were photographing from a hide in Spain. So many good pictures were taken that I had to establish a gallery. Differences between our crested lark and the Thekla lark are subtle. The latter has a shorter beak, clearly lineated patches on its chest and a protuberant lower edge of its beak.
