It is quite common for the Maltese conditions. Like in case of other species on Malta, there were great difficulties with photographing this bird. The bird’s tiny size and large distance it kept made it difficult to take satisfactory pictures.

I already thought that there wouldn’t come to my first encounter with this fastest land mammal. A day before our departure, I was lucky. During a hunt, its speed on a short distance can exceed 100 km/h. While I was photographing it, I was standing a bit too far from the cheetah and I had to use a converter. We were observing a failed hunt attempt. A few pictures from quite a substantial distance were taken, the pictures which obviously are important to me. It’s one of big cats, not too easy to observe in Africa, and yet it has its gallery on my website…
