Photographing hummingbirds in Mexico was a huge disappointment for me. The fauna of Mexico includes 58 species of hummingbirds, 13 of which are endemic. In total, there are over 350 species of hummingbirds in the world. It was not a typical birding trip, but I hoped that in a country with such a large number of hummingbird species, there would be a place where they are fed from special drinkers bird feeder and only there good photos could be taken, like in Cuba or Costa Rica.

Cirl bunting
Passerine
It was difficult to photograph birds in Greece in August. There were few birds and they were very skittish and such situation was with the cirl bunting. It appeared literally for a moment, and this was at this point that my first photo of this bird was taken. It was easier to record its voice than to take another picture. But that bird belongs to the Polish fauna so its gallery had to be created ... Bardzo dobre |
Citrine wagtail
Passerine
Photos from two encounters with the citrine wagtail in Mongolia have initiated a gallery of this bird on my website. There were no more opportunities during our two-week stay in Mongolia, so it is not a commonly occurring bird there. What is important for me is the fact that it belongs to the fauna of Poland. The pictures were taken from approach, without camouflage. Bardzo dobre |

Clay-colored Thrush
Passerine
A little surprise that this modest medium-sized bird is called the national bird of Costa Rica, a small country where you can find nearly 900 species of birds including those beautiful ones, often rare, fascinating by their colorful plumage (hummingbirds, toucans, trogons and many other). And all this thanks to the convergence of the beginning of the rainy season (April) with the start of the mating season for thrushes and accompanying, apparently, beautiful singing of those birds. Coal tit
Passerine
It is maybe the smallest of Tits and, on the lowlands of our country, likely the rarest. Weight of this tit does not exceed 10 grams with a wingspan smaller than 20 centimeters. It is very frisky and that makes it hard to photograph. I have managed to photograph this species in a large park, in the winter, where the birds were very intensively fed. Bardzo dobre |
