You have to keep trying on different locations, if you want to take photos of all the birds that occur in Poland. This time my choice was the common osier plantation (Sallix Viminalis) at the back of a large sewage plant in …, never mind. It is important that this time I managed to take a picture of two species. One is a sedge presented in this gallery, and the other is a warbler, which gallery is completed. It is a pity that from the beginning a small body of water with many shoal patches caught my attention, as my hope that several interesting species could appear there while passing was wrong. Whereas, the basin was used as a night shelter and just after sunrise all the birds left it. Looking around I noticed a "big waves" in the osier thickets. I decided to rotate the lens 180 degrees and managed to take the pictures easily. Sedge is very similar to the aquatic warbler famous for costly program for the protection. Sedge is a small migratory bird. Its wingspan is not more than 20 centimeters, and weighs about ten, a dozen grams. I wish I was able to record a singing sedge warbler, but cold September was not the right time for it. We will see if it is possible to complement this gallery with the sound recorded by myself, which is said to be very beautiful.

Sedge warblers every now and then vied with numerous wagtails for a piece of land. Wagtails did not tolerate any intruder, especially smaller ones like the greenfinches which also stopped there for a while. Undoubtedly that was the successful August afternoon...

At the foot of the lesser spotted eagle lookout point there was overflow area, where I could easily take pictures of a sedge warbler and record its sound, what was more important. Although it kept fairly long distance I managed to add some pictures to the gallery and the recording made on my own.

Such radical changes in the Sedge Warbler gallery should be noted in the information and the Sedge Warbler gallery should be added to the news on my web side. My best pictures off Sedge Warbler so far have been added and the gallery has been rebuilt.

I went to the water hiding in Hungary not for the Sedge Warbler or the Little Crake, but for the Moustached Warbler, which is very similar to the Sedge Warbler. Unfortunately, Moustached Warbler didn’t appear, but I took a few pictures of the Sedge Warbler.
