Many times when spending time on lakes I searched unsuccessfully for the Bearded Reedling. This is so beautiful and colorful bird that my desire to take pictures of it was growing over time. Up to a certain, fairly cloudy November day. And all that happened thanks to Robert and Jan (I cordially greet),  when the three of us went on a picturesque water body. At the beginning our enthusiasm was falling down every minute. I sat camouflaged in reed beds, but within a few hours of waiting neither one reedling appeared. It was so quiet and peaceful that  I managed to take a picture initiating the short-tailed weasel’s gallery. I was surrounded by numerous wrens that every now and then flew up from all sides very close to me. But not the wrens were these birds that should have played first fiddle in this outdoors. For a change young bald eagle flew up. It sat at the edge of the water body by the rushes at a distance of several meters. However it did not stay long. Pretty big flock of herons diversified by number of white herons sat in the distance. But all these birds were not the bearded reedlings I was waiting for. We packed our equipment  into the car and continued walking along the rushes only with cameras, not having a single photo of the Reedling. After a few hundred meters a familiar sound of reedlings could be suddenly heard. Without any camouflaging they allowed to do themselves a series of photos, but only for a few minutes, then flew a few dozen meters away. And we made attempts to follow them twice. Amazing impressions. So beautiful and colorful birds at your fingertips. More and more shots were taken. For a moment there was a crack in the clouds and the sun started to come out, giving even more interesting color of light. The Bearded Reedling weights a dozen grams, with a wingspan of about 17 cm, so they are smaller than our sparrows . I was so delighted with shooting that almost forgot about the voice recording . Unfortunately, the noise of the road  that ran around did  not allow to make a clear audio recording, and the Reedlings moved away more and more. However, I did record some specific sounds and the gallery from the beginning is complimented with audio recording, the more valuable that sounds come just from those presented Reedlings. Let's hope to have another opportunity in the future to take more photos of  these beautiful birds in a different setting, that will diversify presented, already considerably rich gallery. Welcome...

Amazing photo session with young Bearded Reedlings. There were dozens of them and when I was walking quietly behind them I could take a whole series of pictures and have them a few in the frame. On that day  I was really preoccupied in taking my first photos of our Pendulines Tits, and wating for them, but there was no way to break off, as I heard the noise caused by fairly large flock of Penduline Tits. Getting to know them better I could recognize them as juveniles. So for the first time  I was able to take juvenile of Bearded Reedlings, moreover against the background of green reeds, what enriched my golden gallery with dried reeds created after previous session. Despite quite a long meeting with Bearded Reedlings on this day I could not observe adults. So, like the Eurasian Penduline Tits they are occupied with the incubation of eggs in second hatch. If the hatch would be as successful as the first and nothing jeopardize the life of Bearded Reedlings, in the cold winter scenery new interesting photos will be taken.

After 5 years, there was again an opportunity to encounter bearded parrotbils. This time there were not many of them and they appeared for a moment but very close. A few interesting photos were created, which enrich the gallery that was already quite attractive. Such a meeting has to be noted in the news...

Well, there are bird species that I return to whenever possible. My next encounter with the Beaded Parrotbill has resulted in the creation of photos that add variety to the gallery. This time there were a lot of birds and they were not timid. The changes in the Beaded Parrotbill gallery are large enough to be noted in news.
