Most pictures published here were taken when shooting on breeding ponds or on open reservoirs in Malta ZOO in Poznań. Geese did not stay there for long, unfortunately. They were very wary and watchful. Luckily they flew up and while swimming on the pond swung full circle in front of my lens, allowing me to take a few photos. Photos maybe not a top-flight yet, but so far Greylag geese have not had a session like the white-tailed eagle, black stork, or plains wanderer. Greylag geese, that are similar to the grain geese, are considerably larger than those. Male weight can be up to 5 kg, with a wingspan of about 1.5 meters.

It's so ironic. Many times I tried to take pictures of Greylag Gooses, but were too skittish and did not approach as closely at to guarantee high quality images. And here a great surprise in Kolobrzeg: long road cycling passing between the sea and wetlands with many birds occurring there, including the  Greylag Goose. The three pairs of Greylags did not escape from the walkers. On the contrary, they led their children towards the walkers, hoping for an easy meal . A truly beautiful, idyllic views of family life of Greylags get to my gallery. They bring visible changes to it. Welcome to the gallery…

The gallery has been rebuilt. What inspired me to make changes were pictures of graylag geese taken during the red-necked grebe’s photo session.

They were very alert and very skittish. But while waiting for the curlews, they also got some interesting photo shots. The flock even at night, in the morning was active and a bit noisy. I have added some photos to the gallery.

Another attempt to photograph the curlews resulted in more interesting pictures of the geese. This time they were not so skittish and can be said to have surrounded the shelter. The gallery has been rebuilt.
