I created the Brown Dipper gallery despite the lack of interesting photos of this bird. While recently photographing the white-capped dipper in Ecuador, I wrote about the small number of dipper species (five in total). Thus, my website now features three of the world’s five dipper species. Unfortunately, the bird appeared only once, briefly, and the weather conditions were unfavorable. Nevertheless, it’s worth noting on my website and creating a gallery because dippers are birds I always enjoy returning to and observing whenever possible. If attempts in Costa Rica prove successful, the last dipper species remaining would be the Rufous-throated dipper, which lives in a small area in Argentina and Bolivia.
