There was no problem with recording the sound of the Ortolan Bunting. It was sitting on a dry twig of an old oak and you could record its song from the distance of some dozen metres. It really enjoys singing. Almost every time when it sat on the twig, it couldn’t help singing. It was more difficult, however, to take pictures. It required patience and it was necessary to wait until it chose to sit on a twig that was nearer the ground or until it starts eating around the bushes covered in moss. After observing it for a while, you could see it had its favourite twigs, just when you met it for the first time. The Ortolan resembles the Yellowhammer with its size. It is slightly smaller than the Sparrow. This beautiful bird sings gorgeously and it is a precious trophy for my gallery. Look and listen to it.
