As in case of hummingbirds, the text linked to toucans describing those taken on the trip to Costa Rica will be common for them all. Also with this group of birds fate turned out to be favorable in terms of pictures as I was able to photograph 4 of 7 species of toucans that occur there in Costa Rica. As usual the result was at different level of success. It happened twice that collared aracari and black-mandibled toucan approached so close to the place where food was laid that to adjust them in the frame in the whole I had to back a few meters away. It was incredible the possibility to observe toucans so close. With their colorful, velvety smooth plumage, with a powerful beak, they look like children's mascot, birds of paradise. They sit on a branch of a tree and slowly twist their head to the left and to the right, up and down, as if watching the surrounding carefully scanned the area. I do not think they eat only fruit, because when they came all small birds flew away. While with black-mandibled toucan and collared aracari there were a few contacts, in the case of the keel-billed toucan and the emerald toucan - only one. A keel-billed toucan appeared in the crown of the tree, so some photo documentation of our meeting was created. An emerald toucan during one photo session appeared several times so I had a lot photos to choose for the gallery. When I was shooting at some point on the left side I could hear a clear sound. I did not know, of course, whose voice it was so I took the recording equipment and headed in that direction. These were two black-mandibled toucans who I could easily record. So the soundtrack of the toucan voice is published in my gallery for the first time, and two galleries of toucans are enriched with photos of another 4 species, and what is more important of much better quality than the previous ones.
