When in Poland, I really like going back to shooting wrens, especially because I always can count on them, just like on nuthatches. I am glad I have managed to capture our wren’s relative, although, without recording its voice. The house wren gallery was created after many chance encounters with this bird. It weighs about 10-12 grams and has a wingspan of about 15 centimeters.
Last minute news - Costa Rica -12/2015

The photos presented here were taken in quite a peculiar way. Our guide, Tu, informed us that if we wanted to see this skittish bird we had to be between 2 and 6 pm on an asphalt road cutting a forest. It sounded quite strange, but we decided to go there. When we were on the site we saw small backpack hides placed on the right and left side of the road. Along with ours, there were 8 of them. I had never photographed this way, sitting in a tent where every now and then, a meter from us, there was a car passing by.

In Poland it can be observed very rarely, in Spain in the mountains is widespread. The published photographs were taken in the morning, before photographing the bearded vultures, which are active much later than Iberian chiffchaff.
