In the environment depicted in the description of the spoon-billed sandpiper there were thousands of birds which would fly in enormous flocks of hundreds of specimens between shallow water reservoirs. The same was with great knots, Eurasian curlews and the three species of plovers. Sometimes there were so many of them that it was hard to choose what to photograph. The birds, sitting peacefully on dams, often cut the distance to us significantly.

We photographed in several placed on Costa Rica. In such a small country it is sometimes a matter of several dozen kilometers and one has to do with completely different species. The transportation was the biggest problem. The roads in Costa Rica do not belong to good ones, and in order to drive 80 kilometers we had to spend 3 hours in a car. We reached another photography spot. A new thing for us there was a morning photography session by a not very large white sheet, next to which a bulb was left for the night turned on. The light attracted insects all night. Dostateczne |

Mammals
During my voyages there were several situations I could have come across the whales. But that did not happen. I longed for a meeting with these powerful predators, because they are unique in many aspects. First of all, they are very intelligent mammals and the largest marine predators. Groups of whales can very effectively hunt seals using their own hunting techniques. Dobre |
King eider
Anseriformes
For the second time I could watch this bird and in both cases the circumstances have similarly arranged. Alone king eider swam among a large flock of eiders. The first contact in Tromso in the harbor bay resulted in a poor documentary photo, so I did not set up a gallery. This time it was a bit better but I still have to wait for the opportunity to take really good photos. Anyway, the gallery of the king eider, which belongs to the Polish fauna, has been created. For now, the gallery get a quality rating of a satisfactory. Dostateczne |
