The two species of bee-eaters created on my side have been complimented with two new species I took pictures of while on my trip to Thailand: the blue-tailed bee-eater and the green bee-eater - unfortunately of documentary quality. The photos were taken without camouflaging and bee-eaters did not allow me to reduce the distance to be able to take better pictures. I had several opportunities to encounter green bee-eaters and therefore such an interesting gallery could be created.

At first glance it is an inconspicuous, small community, like many other in Poland. What distinguishes it is the fact that this location is favored by little owls. That makes it an amazing place. A daily life goes on, there are people wandering around, cars passing by, and not too far away little owls are flying and  hunting. Full harmony between civilization and the natural world, even symbiosis - we can say. Because of owl’s hunting the local rodent population is significantly diminished and the owls presence is not burdensome at all.

The presented pictures of the little pied cormorant were taken in Australia and New Zealand. The little pied cormorant is the smallest representative of its family. It is a common species in Australia, but it is also found north of Australia in Indonesia and New Guinea as well as in the south east – New Zealand. The little pied cormorant measures up to 60 centimeters, while the Great Cormorant occurring in Poland, reaches up to one meter.

Last minute news-03/2023-Morocco

Several photos of a young little tern, taken at the Baltic sea, initiate a gallery of this bird on my website. And, as the bird does not belong to very rare species, I hope that these few pictures will soon be replaced with some photos of adult birds.
