Because of its everyday occurrence in Poland, hooded crow is an easy object to photograph, but taking good photos involve good lighting conditions. Similarly to Western Jackdaws and Ravens, avoiding high contrasts, and using restrained, fairly intense light, will allow you to show the beauty of this bird. You certainly can and should practice observations and bird behaviors, to find out whether to press the shutter button, or wait a little while. The easiest way to photograph Hooded crows is to go to parks, on cold days, when they are "puffed" protecting themselves from the cold and are not so timid, as it usually happens in other seasons. Hooded crow is a medium-sized bird, its weight is about 0.5 kilograms, with a wingspan of less than a meter.

Nature photography can begin, but the project never ends. Our life is too short. You will never be able to say that you have run out of photo opportunities. This was also the case this time. The Hooded Crow and Rook gallery belonged to a very good gallery, and here, unexpectedly, pictures were taken, which forced the gallery to be rebuilt and to exchange photos. The classification remained, but the interior of the gallery was transformed beyond recognition. On that day the light was perfect and the birds turned up. Many beautiful pictures were taken on this beautiful but sad day. On that day, we said goodbye to our wonderful friend - a companion of our photographic expeditions - Piotr Jonczyk. This is an indescribable loss. There is no other personality like Peter. Always smiling, tirelessly friendly. It is hard to imagine any next trip without him. He was always the unwritten Staroste of each trip, with unprecedented knowledge, perfect organization and a cordial attitude towards people and the environment. That's how I remembered him and that is how it will remain in my memory ...

Well, there are no ugly birds, maybe some fascinate a little more, some a little less. It is enough to manage an interesting photo shot, in an interesting light, of even such common birds as the Hooded crow and I want to return to such galleries. This time I spent some time on flying, dynamic pictures and it managed to. Hooded crows were obtrusive, aggressive, for the Greater Spotted Eagle, who played the main role on that day. The crow gallery has been supplemented with new shots and goes to the news.

Hooded Crow always accompanied the predators. After a Marsh Harrier, Red Kite, or Buzzard landed in front of the shelter, appeared always Hooded Crow. This time the Crows were heard from afar, but they never landed in front of the shelter. It is quite strange because Magpies and Jays did not appear. The Red Kite was even tormented in flight by the Hooded Crow. The gallery has been updated with some photos and I guess in order not to overload it will be rebuilt next time.
