This is not a species commonly found on Fuerteventura, but I discovered quite interesting place in the area of Morro Jable where I managed to photograph several species, including the Hadeda Ibis. Ibises and Cattle Egrets  seemed to know that artificial lawn irrigation at sunrise makes the insects that live in these lawns crawl out onto the surface, and are a a real treat for the taste. When ibises were approaching it was clear for everyone in the area, and therefore I did not need to look for them, just wait patiently. I tried several times to photograph this bird and a few photos showing all their beauty were taken. To record their voices I took the position directly below the place where the birds used to sit, waiting for their noisy departure. I managed to record an "initial" sound. They were not  too skittish, there was no problem with taking photos with telephoto lens. Their wingspan is less than a meter, and the weight is slightly more than half a kilo. Their long beak can be used successfully for grubbing for insects on lawns.

Hadada ibises were very common and often encountered throughout our journey in South Africa. When they took flight always made such a distinctive noise that some of my colleagues even identified it with the specifics of African sounds. I added some pictures, more as a reminder than as a qualitative change to the gallery.
