As for the Kite in Poland I was not fortunate and until now my kite’s gallery has been a one-photo gallery. They are very rare and skittish in our country. But what a surprise here in Australia, I was able to photograph two species of kite and these are not single photos. Away from the city they could be seen from time to time. Sitting on a tree kites allowed me to take pictures without camouflaging and there was no need to adjust much to frame. It is a pity that all the photos were taken in a fairly intense sun. But taking into account that my current gallery of kite has only one image, the opportunity to watch wild black kites and whistling kites and to take them photos gives a lot of satisfaction. The range of distribution of the Black Kite is huge. Several subspecies occur in Europe, the Far East, Taiwan, Africa, Asia and of course Australia. The Black Kite belongs to the family Accipitridae, its weight is less than one kilogram, with a wingspan of about 1.5 meters. It is therefore some progress in presenting this species on my website  although I am aware, looking at the others’ work, that in this matter there is still much to be done. All the beauty and majesty of the bird makes me treat presented pictures just as documentation ...

Last minute news-06/2016-Mongolia
The prevalence of the black kite in Mongolia is shocking. With time we stopped paying attention to them. We saw larger flocks of black kites near human settlements. They like to feed on rubbish dumps and leftovers thrown away from households very much. It happened once that after we finished photographing black-winged stilts and shelducks, on the verge of a settlement, we were packing our equipment, and at a distance of 100 meters I counted 23 black kites observing us peacefully. Photographing these birds was not a problem. There were so many pictures taken that the gallery has been remodeled, and the old photos were replaced with new, better ones. Those which make me happy the most are the dynamic photographs of black kites in flight. As we were driving through the steppe, we saw upland buzzards more often than black kites. It happened rarely that there were power lines led across the steppe, which apart from single pylons, were situated on a construction based on a tripod. At the top of such a tripod there was a place for a nest. Always in such a place we could see a nest of the black kite or the saker falcon. If we could see from a distance that there are some cloths in the nest, we could be sure that it was the black kite that nested there.
