Although the expedition to the Dominican Republic was not organized to photograph birds from the Polish fauna list, but as I am so far away from Poland, it is difficult not to check and not try to photograph birds formally belonging to the Polish fauna. Especially since there are several dozen bird species that are typical species of North America on our list of fauna. There are many such individual statements in Poland, but they ultimately extend this list. Least sandpiper was found in Poland once and Semipalmated sandpiper five times. After my visit to the Dominican Republic, galleries of these species are created on my website, birds in their natural wintering grounds. There were dozens or hundreds of birds there. Interestingly, the birds in winter are in places where temperatures are much higher than their nesting sites in North America. We also managed to improve the gallery of the Lesser Yellowlegs (3 findings in Poland) and the Greater Yellowlegs (2 findings in Poland), also belonging to the fauna of Poland. This text is common to all four of these species.
