Eurasian Tree Sparrows are very much alike House Sparrows, often mistaken for them. Despite that, an Eurasian Tree Sparrow is slightly smaller than a House Sparrow, he can be distinguished by black spot situated under the eye, on a white cheek. Feathers on an Eurasian Tree Sparrow's head are brown, whereas they are grey on a House Sparrow. His body mass is slightly above 20 grams, and wingspan is 20 centimeters. It took a while photographing House and Eurasian Tree Sparrows before I have noticed those differences. It needs to be added that Eurasian Tree Sparrows are much much less common in our surrondings than House Sparrows.

I’d never really devoted a day for photographing Eurasian tree sparrows or house sparrows. Most of the pictures were taken by chance and that’s how the gallery of the Eurasian tree sparrow or house sparrow were created. It had been until we went to a „predator” hide, in which we managed to take interesting photos of Eurasian tree sparrows and house sparrows only. Changes in these galleries were introduced. Quite funnily, to be able to make these changes in the galleries of such popular in Poland species of birds, I had to travel several hundred kilometers. It was good that they appeared as about 30 hours of waiting for predators would have been hard to stand.

Over the past few years, we have managed to take some interesting photos of the eurasian tree sparrows that were waiting for the premiere of showing them on my website. The pretext of rebuilding and updating the gallery after 5 years was an attempt to photograph an eurasian sparrowhawk. It was really hard to find photos of sparrows, because they were there very nervous, skittish and moved quickly. Nevertheless, a few photos were taken that were a pretext for a new edition of the eurasian tree sparrows gallery on my website. The eurasian tree sparrows gallery hits it for the first time to news. However, I think that there will be more changes in this gallery due to the possibility of ease of communing with these birds and their undoubted charm...
